A Bit About Me
Malinda Torres, MS
I earned my Master of Science Degree in Community Counseling from Gannon University and have additional training in Structural Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, Trauma Informed Care, and Motivational Interviewing.
I have over 20 years of experience supporting individuals that struggle with mental health symptoms related to anxiety, bi-polar disorder, depression, difficult interpersonal relationships, personality disorders, substance use, and trauma. I often utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques during sessions, however I strongly believe that care must be personalized and will use skills from multiple modalities when appropriate.
I strive to help others recognize their personal strengths and am dedicated to empowering them
to achieve and maintain the goals that are important to them.
